Far Eastern University joins this annual activity initiated by PAWB and DENR through the TCP Tamaraw Conservation Program. This is to strictly monitor the Tamaraws’ population count as part of its TAMS2 program. The program includes mountain trailing, studying the biodiversity of tamaraws’ habitat and consolidation of the counting activity results . Since last year, VSO initiated Community outreach programs and other activities conducted simultaneously in time with the annual counting in close coordination with the Alumni Affairs Office, and the FEU Educational Foundation Inc. Programs include sports fests, basic hygiene, livelihood for the mothers, survival techniques for volunteer Tau buid rangers, art appreciation for kids, and fun games.
